In 1980, Doug transitioned from WICK Homes to the Thomas Hill Power Plant, where he dedicated over three decades of service before retiring in 2012. Not one to rest on his laurels, Doug ventured into real estate, obtaining his license in 2012.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Doug actively engages in community service. He serves as a board member for the Randolph County Historic Preservation and the City of Moberly Community Improvement District, demonstrating his commitment to preserving local history and fostering community development.

In collaboration with his wife Julie, Doug also owns and operates a thriving boutique clothing store in Historic Downtown Moberly. This entrepreneurial venture adds another layer to Doug's multifaceted involvement in the community.
